Monty's Apricot Chilli & Lime Cheddar

this is unfortunately just run of the mill apricot cheese that's also spicy. no synergy just this and that at once. oof

i'm usually not a fan of apricot cheese in general but it's alright. the cheddar itself is good. i liked that you could see chilli seeds in the cheese, and it is quite spicy, but it feels like it's for nothing. the spice doesn't complement the cheese (nor the apricot) in any way, nor does the cheese complement the spice. they're just both there. and it's not because spice doesn't go well with cheese because it does! just not in this instance. i think it's because of the apricot, maybe the spice type, maybe both!

the lime isn't really there either, that's what i was most excited about. there's lime oil in the ingredients list, and if you focus really hard it's there, but barely. overall a bit disappointed, though i will want to keep trying monty's other handmade cheeses

in retrospect maybe the 24/20 cheese should've been a 22/20. maybe
